I have enjoyed playing songs written by Townes Van Zandt since the first time I heard him. He does not waste a word or chord in his songs. Simple, true, timeless, often bittersweet or downright sad music. Here I play one track with guitar and vocals and a mandolin track.

Songs that will stand the test of time.

Here are links to a few songs that I can’t seem to stop listening too. These are some of my favorite song writers and performers.
Townes Van Zandt Playing the first song he ever wrote, “Waiting Around to Die.”
Rolling Stones playing, “Torn and Frayed.” You can hear Gram Parson’s influence on the Stones music. He was living with Keith at the time Exile From Main St. was recorded.
Thievery Corporation’s song “Heaven’s Gonna Burn Your Eyes.”
